About Ixworth

Ixworth is a thriving village in Suffolk. It is located between Bury St Edmunds, Diss and Thetford.

The community includes a selection of local shops, library, police station, two schools and a fire station. There are two public houses – the Greyhound and the Pykerrell.

Ixworth has a large village hall in the centre of the village, which is the meeting place for several different community groups. It also houses the library – for more information please see www.ixworthvillagehall.co.uk. Behind the hall is the playing field. This area is used widely by the community with a children’s play area, a basketball hoop and some football pitches.

Local businesses range from two takeaways, a restaurant, the esteemed Ixworth Coffee shop, beauty salon, clothes shops, garages, a hairdressers, a butcher and a village store.
